Where a 1950s icon meets a sustainable future.
Originally designed by Friso Kramer in the 1950s during his time at Ahrend, the Revolt Chair is now being reissued by HAY together with Ahrend. As one of Kramer’s most famous designs, the Revolt Chair embodies his distinctive minimalist style in a revolutionary design.
This new version utilizes updated materials that consider environmental impact while retaining the functionality and resilience of its mid-century precursor. The coloured shells are made from a mix of 30% recycled post-consumer plastic and 70% virgin ABS, while the black shells consist of 100% recycled post-consumer ABS. A dynamic and flexible chair, Revolt’s ergonomic design moves with the user, offering active support while working, eating, or sitting in conferences.
