Basic information

PKV

The four floors of offices in the Brno building at the Vlněna complex are designed with a global approach, yet each in a different way, where light and ecosystem were our basic conceptual elements.

The core of the building, like the Earth's core, features a prominent LED lighting ring that affects us from all corners.

Colors and shades throughout the layout follow the orientation of cardinal directions. On the north side, we use cool colors in blue tones, and moving southward, their shade changes to warmer tones up to sunset colors. Thanks to this, we always know where we are, and we intentionally connect the interior with the external environment.

The original layout and placement of partitions breaks up the rectangular nature of the space and organically approaches natural shapes. This eliminates the classic hallway system of an office building. This principle is also supported by the shape and division of floors resembling Earth's contour lines.

We divide individual floors according to types of ecosystems - for example, an artificial ecosystem where meeting rooms are named CITY, FIELD, DAM, or a natural ecosystem where you'll find OCEAN, DESERT, OR JUNGLE. On the top floor, the meeting rooms are space-themed: SUN, EARTH, AND MOON. On the lowest floor, we chose places closer to the core: CAVE AND VOLCANO.

After moving in, PKV and ENMON also become the light of Brno's lighthouse, which building "I" sought inspiration from in architectural terms.
