The Ceiling That Thinks in Arches.
The BuzziVault acoustic ceiling panel by Alain Gilles brings the elegance of vaulted architecture into modern interiors, adding depth and airiness. This felt element can be surface-mounted or suspended, and its curves can be accentuated by an optional black metal deco spine. The illuminated version, BuzziVault Light, further integrates LED lighting (Line Flux 140) with a layered effect: indirect ambient illumination that traces the arch from above, and direct functional light directed downward onto workstations or collaborative spaces.
The panel's arched geometry effectively scatters sound waves, eliminating flutter echo and unwanted reflections unlike flat ceilings. BuzziVault targets human speech (mid-to-high frequencies) and, thanks to its hollow arch shape, offers a larger active surface area for maximum acoustic comfort. Sustainability is a matter of course—the panels are made from 60% recycled PET felt, and their fully disassemblable structure allows for easy separation and recycling of all parts at the end of their life cycle.
