Basic information

Bonbon shade HAY

Inspired by her drawings, Anna Kraš's lampshades are hand-woven using original techniques to create textured, unique pieces.

The lamps can stand on their own as strong decorative objects, even when the light bulb is not on. In Ana's collaboration with HAY, each lampshade is hand-woven from nylon wool yarn around a powder-coated steel frame, creating individual lampshades that vary slightly in appearance and surface aesthetic. Cord sets for the shades are sold separately and are available in two versions - a table/floor version with a rocker switch and a pendant version for ceiling lights. Both variants can be used with different shade sizes and are not supplied with a bulb.

Ana Kraš was born in 1984 in Belgrade and studied furniture design and interior architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade. In 2013 she moved to New York where she continues to pursue various projects in object design, art, photography and fashion. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world and published in many international publications. Ana designed the Bonbon Lamp and Perla lamps for HAY.
