Basic information

Fifty-Fifty Floor Lamp HAY

The Fifty Fifty luminaire by British designer Sam Weller is based on the idea of breaking down a multi-purpose work light into its basic elements and balances a refined, spare aesthetic with optimal functionality.

Configurable aluminium components minimise the overall complexity of the design and manufacturing process, creating a feature of joints and mechanisms that is consistent throughout the series. The single cantilever arm can be easily tilted and rotated with one hand and features a touch dimmer for precise positioning and control of the light source.

Sam's design work strives to be timeless and honest, focusing on a spare aesthetic that reflects the material selection and function of the product.
He designed the Fifty-Fifty table, floor and wall lamp for HAY.
