The return of 70s generosity in its coziest form.
The Mimoso modular sofa by Note Design Studio (a new release for 2026) celebrates the generosity of maximalism, bringing back the pleasure of deep, generously proportioned seating inspired by the aesthetics of the 70s and 80s. Its name, Spanish for "cuddly" or "affectionate," perfectly captures the essence of this exceptionally soft piece. The design is defined by a bold gesture: an XXL "duvet" that appears to fall over a robust base, creating a deliberate contrast between solidity and softness. The inner structure consists of a wooden frame covered with differentiated-density polyurethane foam, zig-zag metal springs, and hidden solid beech feet stained in wenge plus.
To achieve its casual, wrinkled, and cozy character, the choice of soft, plush fabrics is essential, complemented by tailoring details on the seat and backrest that enhance texture and invite a rest. The cushions, filled with FiberDream, feature fully removable textile or leather covers. The exceptional versatility of the entire program lies in its intuitive, approachable modular system, which allows for linear, L-shaped, or U-shaped compositions, effortlessly inhabiting space in every direction.
