Basic information

Obermayer Helika

OBERMEYER HELIKA a.s. is one of the largest and most stable design and architectural offices in the Czech Republic. As a leader in 3D design and BIM systems, the firm is involved in some of the most significant projects across the country—ranging from administrative and commercial centers to technically demanding hospital complexes. Their philosophy centers on merging top-tier engineering with bold architecture, making them a key player shaping the landscape of modern cities. With over 35 years of history and the backing of the international Obermeyer Group, they bring both vast experience and a constant drive for innovation to every project.

For 2026, the studio has found its new home in the unique Pragovka complex in Vysočany. This historical factory, once the production site of the legendary Praga automobiles, has undergone a fascinating transformation into a vibrant creative district. Following a sensitive reconstruction, the architecturally valuable halls have retained their raw industrial soul—exposed concrete structures, high ceilings, and generous windows create a space that is a design manifesto in itself. For an architectural studio of this caliber, Pragovka is the ideal location where the history of Czech industry meets the most modern visions of the future.

For this exceptional space, we at cre8 provided a complete portfolio of furniture and acoustics that meets the highest standards of design and functionality. The true gems of the interior are the icons from Knoll—timeless Wassily armchairs and elegant Saarinen tables, which lend a touch of classical modernism to the space. The ergonomic heart of the office consists of premium workstations from Herman Miller and CBS, equipped with Cosm, Mirra, and Setu chairs, Nevi Link desks, OE1 mobile storage, and precise Flo monitor arms with smart Loop CPU and Micro holders. Relaxation zones and community spaces came to life thanks to soft seating and accessories from HAY, Enea, and Sancal. Uncompromising peace for work is ensured by Framery booths and advanced acoustic solutions from EchoJazz and BuzziSpace.

The resulting interior is a fascinating dialogue between the rawness of an industrial hall and the refined elegance of premium products. While the rough concrete and steel of Pragovka recall the honest craftsmanship of the past, the delicate lines of designer furniture and high-end acoustics define the work comfort of tomorrow. It is a harmonious contrast where history does not clash with modernity but rather complements it—resulting in an inspiring environment that perfectly mirrors the values and creative power of the Obermeyer Helika studio.
